Pin Curls! Heatless Curls- Version 2

Hey Gals.. I decided that i wanted to have curls for our christmas family dinner. But my friend still has my curling iron so I thought I could just do a different version just for YOU!
And this is a real picture of the back of my head! LOL NO WAY!
Materials:
Water Sprayer
Comb
Hair Tye
Bobbypins
Lightweight Hairspray
Cupcake
Instructions:
1. Comb through hair to make sure it is tangle free.
2. Lightly spray hair with water sprayer.
3. Section your hair into 2 sections along your part.
4. Grab about a 1-3 inch section ( the bigger the section the bigger the curl: the smaller the section the smaller the curl... come on guys its not rocket science) and douse it in water get it really soaked then make a loop ( again big= big: small=small).
5. Slowly roll that loop toward the top of your head.
6. Next take a bobbypin and secure it at the top of your head. ( hence the name PIN curls).
7. You may need to grab a couple more bobbypins... it depends on your hairtype.
8. Continue around your head and when you reach the last couple pieces that are closest to your face stop.
9. TWIST your hair THEN do the roll. This keeps your hair out of your eyes.
10. Then you can wrap your hair up or whatever you want.
11. Wait until it is COMPLETELY dry until you take it out... I waited 3 hours because my cousins were also doing this so we had a fun time talking and hanging out and everything.
12. Lightly spray with your lightweight hair spray. This helps the curls stay longer!
13. EAT CUPCAKE!!
whoa... sugar rush

Heatless Curls

Hey Gals! Here is a tutorial on heatleass curls. I left my curling iron at a friends so i decided that this was a good oppurtunity to try it out.

Materials:
Dove Extra Hold Hairspray-with natural movement.
Two Hair Tyes
Bobbypins
Water Sprayer Bottle
Cupcake
Instructions:
1. Either take a shower and let your hair partially dry or wet your hair with a water sprayer bottle. You want it to be damp not wet or dry.
2.Seperate your hair into two sections.
3. Take one side and twist it into one big spiral.
4. Spin it onto a bun and use the hair tye to pin it in place. Use the bobbyoins if needed.
5. Do the same for the other side.
6. Take a  lightweight hairspray and even though the bottle says 8-10 inches away go ahead and do it 1-2 inches away. Soak your hair. Litterally.
7. Either wait 2 hrs or sleep in it. The longer you have it in the more defined the curls will be. If you do not wait long enough you will have one big mess of wet tangles.
8. Eat a cupcake while you are waiting.
9.After you take it out run your fingers through it to get any unwanted tangles out of it.

10 Nail Care Tips

Hey girlies, Here are 10 nail care tips that i have learned from http://febstoretips.blogspot.com/search/label/nail%20care%20tips .
1. To harden soft nails soak them in olove oil for 20 minutes every other day for 10 days.
2. To remove stains mix 1 tsp of lemon juice and 1 cup of water and soak for 3 minutes, then was with warm water and moisturize..
3. Do NOT use pure acetone nail polish removers. These are VERY harmful to your nails and nail polish removers in all are pretty bad for your nails so try to get one without acetone and some strengthening components in it.
4. To prevent yellowing give your nails a break from nail polish every once in a while.
5. For a natural glow to your nails rub some petroleum jelly on them and buff off with a soft wash cloth.
6. If you have brittle nails eat more Vitamin B and MSM.
7. Heres a new trick you probably didn't know: file your nails WITH the nail polish on. This will prevent splitting or breaking.
8.If you have brittle nails wear nail Polish more often to strengthen your nails over time.
9. MOISTURIZE!!!!
10. The most important one is to NOT BITE YOUR NAILS!!! AT ALL!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle

OMG I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! It makes my hair sooo soft!!! So after you wash your hair you apply this JUST TO THE ENDS of your hair. If you put this higher than your ears you WILL have greasy hair! Then normally i shave my legs or wash my body or something else too pass the time. You don't have to wait exactly 3 minutes. Normally i wait 2-5 minutes but you don't want to wait too long or your hair will get greasy. Then rinse it out. Your hair will be soooo soft! NOW GO EAT A CUPCAKE!

My Favorite Mascara

Hey gals. Here is my fav mascara.
Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara in Black. I think it makes my eyelashes very long and vulumonous. And it is water resistant so it won't come off if you cry or its raining outside but if you take a q-tip and makeup remover and water it will come off without you scrubbing your eyes off. It comes in at $15 which is kind of pricey but i think it is totally worth it. There are probably better mascaras out there but if i get this one i don't have to pay because my mom will buy it for me! yay! but if i get a different kind then i will have to pay for it:( but you know i still love it so i still use it.
NOW GO EAT A CUPCAKE! love ya

The Perfect Red Lip

Hey gals this is just a tutorial on how to pull of these awesome red lips!
Materials:

- favorite concealer
- white eyeliner
Step 1: Line your lips with the lip liner and slowly and evenly feather it to the center.
Step 2: Go over your lips with your red lipstick you can use a lip brush but i find that it works the same.
Step 3: Take your concealer and a small flat brush and outline your lips with it. This will give you a clean look and make it look perfect!
Step 4: Take your white eyeliner and line the cupids bow, the outside corners and the bottom lip area. This will make you lips look fuller. If your skin is darker take a super light pink and line super close to you lips.
Step 5: Eat cupcake. Kidding. That would ruin the red lip you just created.
Lining your top lashes with a red eyeliner and then putting just a little bit of white eyeshadow then applying a thick coat of black mascara will make you stand out majorly.
If you are going for a sublte look ( well, as sublte as a red lip can go) i sugges to do a natural eye makeup with a rosy pink blush to make you look happy and healthy.
Thanks for reading.

Manicure #3

Any way here is how to create this look.

- Base Coat
- Top Coat
Step 1: Give self manicure ( take nail polish off, file nails, etc.)
Step 2:   Appy Base Coat. Then using OPI No Room for the Blues create a french manicure by using short strokes along your smile line ( line between white part of nail and pink part)

Haul #2-New Boots!

I recently went to DSW and got these new boots. Aren't they CUTE?! They are White Mountain Pinwheel in Brown/Suede. They are really slimming to your legs and I think that they make me look taller... brownie points! The silver buckle adds a point of interest which is really cute. They are round toed which I'm not sure i like but it adds some softness to the shoe. I got it for $70.00 and in case you were wondering I am a size 6. It has a slight thickness to the bottom which makes me almost an inch taller which is good because i am only 4ft 9in. i know.... im short :D Comment below if you want some tips in making yourself look taller. :)

Hair Growing Tips

These are 5 tips on how to get healthier hair.
1.DRINK MORE WATER!!!! I really want to stress on this. You should drink half of your body weight in ounces... everyday! I weigh 95 pounds and that means I need to dink 6 cups a day!
I normally get around 4 or 5.. but i probably need that extra cup!
2.Eat healthier. It is pretty simple just don't eat a bunch of junk and try to squeeze in another fruit. I don't really like fruit so i eat yogurt so i am getting the calcium and (some) nutrients from the fruit in the yogurt but you want to make sure it is all natural to get the full benefit.
3. Getting into bed? Pull out that hair tye! Sleeping with your hair tyed up even if its loose can do some serious damage to your hair cuticles and it can pull and snap your hair as you sleep without you noticing it!
4. Try a deep conditioner. I use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle every couple of days. i work this through the ends of my hair and wait 3-5 minutes remembering that the longer you have it in the more the benefit... too long and it can make your hair greasy. Then i rinse it out in the shower and comb through my hair feeling how soft and healthy it is.
5. Take a Vitamin. Everyone says to take Vitamin E, Vitamin D, Vitamin 3487 or whatever its called. I'm not sure which one is better for making my hair healthier and grow longer, stronger, and faster. So I just take a Multi- Vitamin. This will help with making your hair, nails, skin, and much more much healthier. And since it is a multi vitamin it probably has extra stuff to make you healthier.
lol if you pulled out your hair tye as you read number 3.

Whats In My Pencil Case?

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to so this tag for you guys. I probably should of done this earlier, sorry! Then I have my pencil case. I found it in Paris, France. It is a Caroline Lisfranc trousse(penicil case). It says Trousse de MA vie across the front. I couldn't find a picture of it and I dont have a camera.

Inside I have a mini stapler thats purple. It is great whenever there is a line for the stapler in class I can just pull this baby out and staple!
I love this thing! I have a mini  BIC Wite Out Mini Shake n' Squeeze Correction Pen. I find my self doodling with it more than using it! But it is perfect for mistakes.
I love highlighting things. I don't know why I just do. My favorite(of the moment it changes all the time) is BIC Bright Liner Fluorescent Highlighters! There awesome! Don't highlight gel pens or pencils though because it smudges them really bad.
I really like how these BIC Mechanical Pencils write. There #2 so there perfect for tests. Plus they come in multiple colors!
I love these pens! Papermate Eagle in Medium are the best! They write awesome! And they don't smudge with highlighters!

Liquid Foundation vs. Mineral Foundation

Have you struggled with choosing the best type of foundation for your skin? Well here are some facts to help you figure out what you want. My skin is very sensitive so I can't wear mineral foundation or heavy foundation or else my face breaks out in zits, pimples, and hives(allergy bumps). So I am trying to see if tinted moisturizer works right now but I'm still not sure.

Liquid Foundation:
  • Good coverage
  • Variety of colors
  • Good range of types of skin (for oily, dry, combination skin)
  • Sometimes cheaper than mineral
Mineral foundation:
  • Light coverage
  • Easy to apply
  • Lightweight, easy to blend and layer to suit skin tone
  • Covers redness well
  • Better for your skin because of the absence of chemicals found in liquid foundation
I hoped this helped you with your descision. :)

OPI White Shatter vs. Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat Vintage Violet

     VS.

This is a comparison over OPI White Shatter and Sally Hansen Vintage Violet Crackle Overcoat.
OPI: The OPI White Shatter is CRAP! It looks like a nail polish gone wrong. It is not a very good color and its not a very good shatter. The crackle part is just the nail polish seperating on your nail. Plus it is $10 wasted!  I would NEVER buy this product again!
Sally Hansen: I really like this product. The crackles look just like the bottle. The trick is to put on a thin layer. It looks like a miny earthquake on your nails. Plus it is only like $5.  I would definetly buy this again.
I have Sally Hansen's Crackle on my nails right now and i think it looks great.  Clearly I think that Sally Hansen is much better.
PS. Its raining! (im ina drought right now so this is GOOD!)

Remington Damage Protection Hair D-3090 Review

Hey Gals, I just wanted to do a review on the new hair dryer I got. My other one wouldnt turn off... it was stuck on the low setting and I had had it for 3 years so it was time for a new one.
So here is what it says: Micro- conditioners Get smoother, healthier hair. Say goodbye to heat damage and say hello to an enhanced healthy shine! This speciall deigned dryer features a grill that is infused with microscopic conditioners. These micro-conditioners realease into the dryer air flow, and are transferred to yout hair, helping prevent damage and increase shine and hair health. Ionic technology Negative ions are activated by the heat of the dryer to heal heat damage as you style. The ions reduce drying time and infuse vital moisture into the hair, resulting in reduced frizz and static. Ceramic technology Infrared hear is produced by the ceramic coated grill to help prevent damage to the hair and allowa for faster drying time.
This is all from the box it came from.
What I think: This product certaintly dryed my hair much faster than my old one. This one has 3 heat settings, 2 speeds and a cool shot. I am still playing around with it. It includes a diffuser and a concetrator. The diffuser is for curly hair. The concetrator  controls air direction for more precise styling.  It is a wonderful product and give it a 4 out of 5 stars only because it was a little pricey and it got really hot after only 5 minutes of drying time. Like I said I am still playing with it. Did you read that last part? 5 minutes of drying time? OH YEAH BABY! A TOTAL time saver!!!
I hope this helped you if you were thinking of buying this product, or if this motivated you to buy it.
( all of the info was from the box or my own opinion)

The story introduces an exclusive group of friends: Alison, the perfect yet manipulative queen bee; Aria, an independent girl who is considered to be the weirdo in Rosewood; Emily, a dedicated swimmer who is secretly in love with Alison; Hanna, who strives to be thin and popular like Alison; and Spencer, an ambitious girl who is constantly competing against and at odds with Alison. Alison mysteriously disappears during a sleepover with the girls the night their seventh grade school year ends.
Three years later, the girls are no longer friends. Aria returns to Rosewood from a two and a half year trip to Iceland with her family and is much more sophisticated than she was when she left. She starts up a relationship with a man who turns out to be her AP English teacher. Emily befriends the new girl in town, Maya, and soon develops romantic feelings for her. Hanna, Rosewood's new "it" girl, struggles with shoplifting and bulimia. Spencer continues to compete with Melissa, her perfect older sister. She falls for Melissa's new boyfriend, Wren Kim.
Throughout the story, the girls receive messages from a person known as "A," who threatens to reveal their secrets of the present and past, including a horrible incident the girls refer to as "The Jenna Thing." They believe it is their missing friend, Alison, because she is the only one who knows all their secrets. However, they realize someone else is taunting them when the police find Ali's corpse buried in the backyard of her former house.
I really enjoy the tv show, too. I am really obsessed! I can't wait for the Halloween Special!
Sorry about the spoilers but I warned you!!!

DIY Lip Scrub

I recently lost my mint julip lip scrub by lush to my purse! Something dissapears for a bout 2 days then I find it again in my purse ruined! Now lush lip scrubs are really expensive like $10 for one 0.8oz jar. So i decided to wash out the destroyed lip scrub and use the container for another one. Here is the recipe I am using:
Vanilla Brown Sugar Lip Scrub 0.8 oz container
3 tsp. Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Olive Oil (Extra Virgin will work just not as moisturizing)
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Aloe Vera Gel
Directions: Mix the brown sugar and the olive oil together. If it becomes clumpy you've mixed to much and need to add more oive oil. Add alove vera gel and mix until a paste. Add the vanilla and mix throughly. If to liquidy add more sugar; vice versa.
Comment below or answer the survey if you want more flavors.

Nail Care

As requested here is my Nail Care post!

I start off with removing all of my old nail polish.
I use Sally Hansen Kwick Off.
Then I wash my hands and nails with a nail brush.
Then I apply cuticle oil.
I use Beauty Secrets Cuticle Oil/Instant Nail Polsih Drier.

Then I push back my cutciles with a cuticle pusher (  I think thats what you call it).

Then I cut or file my nails. If I file then i will use Revlon Glass Nail File.

Then I will put on OPI Natural Nail Base Coat because my nails are really thin and this is the only way I can get them from snapping in half.
Thank You for Reading!

How to Put In Feather Hair Extensions

Have you been seeing the new feather hair extensions? Are you thinking of getting one or getting another one? Didn't it cost, like, a whole bunch of money?
If you put it in yourself you save money! Wait a minute.. isn't the world a happier place with more money in your pocket?
Note: it is much easier to install these with a friend's help. Click on the pictures below to enlarge them.

Step 1

Decide where you would like to install your feather extension, then peel back a layer of hair to expose the roots. Gather a small strand of hair in your fingers, and make sure the roots are close together.

Step 2

Wrap the wire tool around the strand of hair. Take the two ends of the wire and thread them through the crimp bead. Pull the hair through the bead with the wire ends.

Step 3

Slide the crimp bead to the hair roots and carefully thread your feather bundle through the bead. Make sure the feathers stick all the way through.

Step 4

Use the pliers to firmly crimp the bead. To ensure comfort, crimp it in a way so it will lie flat against the head. If necessary, trim extra feathers sticking through the bead with scissors.

Removal

Your feather extensions should stay in for 2-4 months. To remove them earlier, take pliers and gently squeeze the crimp bead in the opposite direction until it is approximately O-shaped. Then, remove the feathers and slide the crimp bead out. The crimp beads are designed to only be used once, but the feathers can be installed over and over.

Wasn't that easy? NOW GO EAT A MARSHMALLOW!
